She will be part of the responsible investment team and report to Ros McKay. Wynter succeeds Talieh Williams, who left in March to become the head of ESG at BGH Capital. With over 10 years of experience in sustainable finance, Wynter joins the industry fund serving building and construction workers after a nine-month break. Previously, she was the head of ESG research for Australia and New Zealand at UBS, where she led the strategy for these markets. In that role, she developed thematic ESG research as well as company- and sector-specific research in collaboration with sector analysts. Before her time at UBS, Wynter served as the director of sustainable finance in Commonwealth Bank's institutional division. She was tasked with structuring green and sustainable debt products for institutional clients, including corporations and government bodies. Wynter also spent seven years at AMP Capital as a senior sustainable investment analyst. There, she helped manage the Australian Sustainable Share Fund, led engagements with company executives and board members, and managed proxy voting on behalf of all global equity teams. "Strong leadership and a shared sense of purpose create the best conditions for impact. I'm grateful to be joining a team and company where those foundations are lived every day," she stated. Meanwhile, the Australian Shareholders' Association has appointed Natalie Kulakoff as its new lead for advocacy and company monitoring. In the role, Kulakoff will lead ASA's advocacy agenda and work closely with its volunteer monitors and company monitoring leaders to strengthen shareholder outcomes. "Her experience across investment management, ESG and stakeholder engagement will support both our company engagement and our policy influence," said ASA chief executive Rachel Waterhouse. "With Natalie's leadership and the launch of our advocacy committee, ASA is well placed to respond to governance issues and advocate for retail shareholders." Kulakoff brings a wealth of experience from the funds management industry to the shareholder's lobby group, having held various roles in sales, business development, equities, and ESG. For the past five years, she worked in institutional and wholesale distribution at Stewart Investors, Bennelong Funds Management, and Melior Investment Management. Before that, she spent a decade at AMP Capital, where she was part of the institutional and corporate team, and at Macquarie Group, where she worked in the professional and private wealth sectors. In addition to her new role at ASA, Kulakoff is a director and co-founder of Generation Fuel, a company focused on sustainable agriculture, biomass production, and natural resource management. Upon launching the firm a year ago, she stated: "At Generation Fuel, we are all incredibly passionate about ensuring our land, soil, water, biodiversity, and ecology remain productive and healthy. This commitment ensures that everyone across the entire value chain benefits, and our land becomes more resilient for future generations." Related News |
