Thanks Rachel. One of the key take-aways for me is the emphasis on financial dimensions. To date ESG has been closely linked to Ethicial (values based) investing. MSCI sees the future of ESG as the analysis on earnings of future events. Future events that are likely to lead to a material impact on earnings and hence valuations and attractiveness of the investment.
