Woolworths poker machine vote fails, but push to continue

Shareholders overwhelmingly rejected a motion demanding retailer Woolworths Limited to put $1 maximum bet limits on the poker machines they operate, but engagement advisers and active institutional investors say they do not believe the issue is dead and that institutional investors should be prepared to face other votes on environmental and social factors in future.
